Top Bowls Competition
Well done to Kaysha, Layla, Holly and Josh who went along to the Clikimin on Wednesday to represent Whiteness Primary School at the Top Bowls Competition.
Fruit Pots
Thankyou to the Health Committee for organising Fruit Pots to sell at school today.
World Book Day
There was lots of excitement as pupils came to school dressed as characters, or in their pyjamas, for World Book Day.
Nesting and Girlsta Up Helly Aa
The Jarl and his squad came to visit everyone at the school. Primary 3/4 prepared a game full of challenges, games and questions to play with the Jarl. There was a swapping of gifts which was followed with a Boston Two Step danced by Pupils, Vikings, parents, friends and staff.
School Dance
We had a lovely morning doing traditional Shetland dances taught by Maria Leask over the past few weeks.
The last dance was a Grand March led by Abigail and Jack.
Christmas Concert
Primary 3/4 performed The Night Before Christmas.
Primaries 5,6 and 7 performed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Christmas Dinner
Thankyou to our amazing cooks who served up a fantastic Christmas Dinner on Wednesday.
It was delicious.
Pudsey Bear visits Whiteness
P1/2 have been baking and we all wore our pyjamas or spots today to take part in Children In Need. We have raised an amzing £155.20 with a few more pennies to count that came in late.

Promoting good mental health for everyone.
Last week we have been focussing on Growth Mindset, positive language and being happy. The Health Committee have been busy finding out what we all do to cheer ourselves up if we feel sad, frightened or anxious.
On Monday we had a visit from the NSPCC and Buddy, spreading the message about who we can talk to if things are tough. We also learned the Childline number.

On Friday we had a great morning with parents, grand-parents, friends and family coming along to take part in our coffee morning. Our focus was promoting good mental health. We had dispaly up in the hall and resources from Mind Your Head to help spread the message.
Thanks to all the wonderful support, we raised £295.58 which we will split between the NSPCC and Mind Your Head.
