Today we had a European Day to support the 4 Euro Quiz finalists. To start off the day we found out some facts about Europe and wrote them down on our place mats.
Whilst we were doing that, master chef Jules was busy preparing a European breakfast including croissants, baguettes with polish cheese and garlic sausage. Also we drank some orange juice.
While we were eating, we had to make conversation in French. We learned French phrases and new vocabulary.

We played some games about Europe and then worked in teams to create a quiz for the Euro quiz team. They did very very well!

We are looking forward to watching them on Monday.

Today we did a Voar Redd Up clean up. We went down a road picking up all of the rubbish people left
in ditches and other crazy places. We got bags and tallied all the rubbish we scooped off the ground.
We even found a teacup that was on the ground! :)

Today we did an activity which included VCOP.
We did this by using sticky notes and putting them on dice. We started witha boring sentence and using the die uplevelled it until the sentence got so good we could start again.
I used this as an example.
1. I ate a sandwich.
2. I ate a BLT sandwich.
3. Suddenly I ate a BLT sandwich.
4. Suddenly I ate a salty BLT sandwich.
5. Suddenly I ate a salty BLT delicious sandwich.
6. Suddenly I ate a salty BLT delicious sandwich whilst making three scoops of ice cream.
7. Suddenly I ate a salty BLT delicious outstanding whilst making three scoops of ice cream.
I can see the benefit of using VCOP because the last sentence is much
better than the first.
