Operation: Gingerbread Man Fundraiser (GBMF)

Today we did a fundraiser to raise money for Save the Children. We learned about the war in Syria and Yemen and thought it would be a good idea to help the children to afford medicine, shelter, warmth, food and clean water. So we sold gingerbread men, chocolate hearts and plain circle biscuits for 50p only having one each. Early Years and all the classes bought biscuits and put in a little donation (some people put in more) and we taught them a little about the war in Syria and Yemen. First we set up a few tables one for donations, information, gingerbread, chocolate and plain biscuits. Then we made signs and decorated money tubes. Next Miley, Leah, Kelsey, Lucy and Hamish went to Early Years. Finally it was time to sell the biscuits. First they came to the donation table and put in there money for a biscuit. Next they took there choice of biscuit and we took some photos. We raised an incredible £88.69! It was so fun we would love to do it again!
