Making a Triflexagon

Today we cut out some strips of paper that had dots and numbers on them as guidelines. Soon after we followed the video on the Murderous Maths website to make a Triflexagon.

A lot of people during the task became a bit frustrated because it was quite hard and fiddly. Even though the task was really hard we realised we had to have a growth mindset. Some people were saying “I give up”, “this is impossible”, “I can’t do this”. But in the end every single person managed to finish it.

Written by a mixture of people from P6/7

“I felt helpful because I managed it and could help others.” Imogen

“I felt successful because I finally got it after lots of tries.” Bobby

“I felt really proud when I finally got it and then I realised that I can’t always get things straight away.” Holly

“I felt like I had just come out of the learning pit!” Ava
