{"id":5705,"date":"2023-04-28T13:25:08","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T13:25:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sh\/whalsayschoolweb\/?p=5705"},"modified":"2023-04-28T13:26:21","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T13:26:21","slug":"engineering-skills-wider-achievement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sh\/whalsayschoolweb\/2023\/04\/28\/engineering-skills-wider-achievement\/","title":{"rendered":"Engineering Skills (Wider Achievement)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In wider achievement this term we have been making a washing machine into a firepit.\u00a0 The process we went through was:<\/p>\n<p>1 we watched a video on you tube to see how to get the drum out.<\/p>\n<p>2 we had to take apart the washing machine.<\/p>\n<p>3 then got the drum out<\/p>\n<p>4 and had to mark the leg holes to bolt them in to the drum.<\/p>\n<p>The skills I developed were:<\/p>\n<p>1 team work<\/p>\n<p>2 working with new tools i had not worked with before<\/p>\n<p>Skills I would like to work on more are drilling holes more accurately.<\/p>\n<p>I enjoyed doing this.
