{"id":1446,"date":"2019-03-04T11:58:36","date_gmt":"2019-03-04T11:58:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sh\/whalsayschoolweb\/?page_id=1446"},"modified":"2020-09-29T08:20:20","modified_gmt":"2020-09-29T08:20:20","slug":"numeracy-at-home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sh\/whalsayschoolweb\/learning-at-home\/numeracy-at-home\/","title":{"rendered":"Numeracy at home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Parental engagement is increasingly becoming a priority in UK primary schools, and rightly so, including parents with their children\u2019s education\u00a0is very\u00a0beneficial to their learning.<\/p>\n<p>However confident you yourself feel about Maths and Numeracy skills, there will be things you can do to support their learning in this area and are probably doing so without realising.\u00a0 If your child is struggling, remind them that they can get better with\u00a0practice and\u00a0reinforce with them that they are not able to do it \u201cyet\u201d.\u00a0 Also remind them of the progress they have already made and the things they can do now that they were not able to do a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>This page is here to support you with numeracy at home.
