Scotland, alongside the National Farmers Union Scotland, the Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers Scotland, and the National Sheep Association Scotland, to put Scotch Lamb PGI on the menu to ‘Make It Scotch Lamb’ today, on St Andrew’s Day.

The aim of the campaign was to make Scotch Lamb synonymous with celebrating St Andrews Day, the Patron Saint of Scotland, and encourage people in Scotland to make Scotch Lamb the national dish for St Andrews Day.

The campaign also reinforces the message to the pupils of the importance of eating this locally-produced, healthy food and to educate pupils about the role of red meat as part of a healthy balanced diet.

Our lamb was generously provided by Shetland Livestock Marketing Group (SLMG), and pupils prepared Lamb Dhansak, with Mint Kefir dip, a recipe provided by Quality Meat Scotland.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3668"
