In our staff meetings next year I want to spend some time thinking about important questions for the school:
What do we value – what is important to the school community?
What do Whalsay bairns need to know in the 21st century?
What skills do Whalsay bairns need to in the 21st century?
How can we make Whalsay school the best it can be and hold on to what is good about it at the moment?
To help us in our discussions we will be asking pupils and parents what they think about these questions as well.
I want to start off with the positives and that is why I am asking parents and carers today to help us by completing our Achievement Day survey. It asks you to list 3 things that you value about Whalsay school at the moment or 3 things you think the school is good at. You can fill it in online – the link is below.
