S1 scientists enjoyed Firework Fun on 5 November when they experimented with different compounds to find out what colour of flame these burned with. They also made their own sparklers with iron filings. Once they completed the practical they set about designing their perfect firework but, (thankfully) we didn’t actually build it. No gunpowder was used during the experiments and the school is still standing!
