As part of wider achievement in Primary 6, is organising the school music evening each February. It’s a great initiative allowing pupils to develop a wide range of transferable skills and responsibilities. The money raised goes towards their Primary 7 trip the following year.
Yesterday, Primary 7 finally got to enjoy their overnight trip to Bridge End. First stop was the climbing wall at Aith and they got to free climb, assisted climb and work as a team to support each other.
In the afternoon they went swimming in the Clickimin for a couple of hours and then enjoyed a delicious meal at Saffron.
The busy day was topped off with African Drumming with Joy Duncan at Bridge End.
This morning we went to see the Faroese Flotilla and were lucky to get a tour of the Westward Ho from Claus Reistrup. It was really interesting to learn about the Cod Hunters and see around the 135yr old boat.
We headed north to Frankies for dinner before heading home.
A big thank you to Miss Robertson and Mrs Poleson for accompanying me and P7 over the 2 days.
