Easter Baking 🐣🍫

Erland – First we had to break the chocolate and put it in a bowl. Β We put it in a microwave to melt it.

Evie – Then we put golden syrup in to make it sticky. Β We poured it into a big bowl with cornflakes.

Aimee – We mixed it up together and then we choosed what colour of cases we wanted and then we put the mix in them.

Mason – We put Mini Eggs on the top of the crispies.

Ruby – They were excellent and really yummy!

 

Deadly 60 Rainforest Quiz πŸ―πŸΈπŸ’πŸ¦‡πŸ›πŸ¦‹πŸœπŸ•·πŸπŸ¦ŽπŸ†πŸ…πŸŒ²πŸŒ΄πŸŒΏπŸƒπŸŒΊ

Ruby – We got into teams and we had to make a name for our group.

Cian – We did a Deadly 60 Quiz. Β We had to watch little clips of Steve and rainforest animals and then we had to answer a question about the animal we watched.

Robbie – Steve got bit by a black piranha and he had a bleeding thumb!

Alfie – Steve got bit by a bullet ant before.

Dhilan – My team got 12 out of 12 and I felt good and happy!

Lexie – We had a party to celebrate our last day together on our rainforest topic!

Where The Wild Things Are!

Lexie – The story is about a boy called Max. Β His bedroom turns into a jungle. Β He goes to a tropical island and it’s full of Wild Things. Β The Wild Things are like lots of different animals like chickens and bulls. Β He is the King of them.

Kiana – We looked at photos of Rainforest Animals. Β We spoke about different parts of them we could use when we made our own Wild Things.

Ruby – We used black paper and oil pastels. Β We did the head on one bit of paper. Β Then we did the body. Β The we did the legs and feet.

Erland – I used parts of ants and frogs and chameleons to make my Wild Thing. Β I think my Wild Thing looks funny and interesting!

Pancake Day!

Aimee – You need flour and eggs and milk to make the pancakes.

Casey – Then you had to put the mix in the pan. Β You know it is starting to cook when you see it changing colour and little bubbles come.

Cian – Then you need to flip it over with a spatula so the other side will cook. Β We put the pancakes on a cooling rack.

Cyrus – I had chocolate spread on my pancake. It was soft and it tasted good!

Number Bonds to 10 and 20

Alfie – Number bonds are 2 numbers that add to make 10 or 20. Β We played a number bond game using Alien and UFO cards. Β We had to turn over a card and then you would show everyone and you had to find the pair and if it was right you got to keep them and if it was wrong you had to put them back down on the table.

Mason – 0 + 20 = 20 and 20 + 0 = 20

Jenny – 8 + 2 = 10 and 2 + 8 = 10

Jared – 5 + 15 = 20 and 15 + 5 = 20

Rainforest Topic with P2/3 – What’s Your Favourite Animal?

Ollie – We got cards and we had to find people that had the same card as us. Β They were in my group!

Robbie – They were 4 creatures that you had to choose from. Β There was a Sloth and a Poisonous Frog and a Tiger and a Parrot. Β The oldest person in the group had to go around the other tables and everyone had to choose what they like best. Β I choosed the Sloth.

Dhilan – We had to cut out pictures of the animals. Β We had to cut out the number of votes. Β The Sloth had 7 votes. Β The Parrot had 5 votes. Β The Tiger had 4 votes. Β The Poisonous Frog had 15 votes. Β We had to stick the pictures on the graph.

Evie – The favourite animal was the Poisonous Frog. Β The Tiger only had 4 votes. Β I thought the Tiger would have the most! Β I felt good doing the graph with Luke and Erland and Merrin.

Rainforests Around the World! 🌎🌱🌿Co-operative Learning with P2/3

Ruby – We learned about the Amazon Rainforest.

Ollie – The other Rainforests are in Africa and Asia.

Dhilan – Rainforests are near the Equator. Β The Equator is a line around the middle of the world. It’s the hottest place in the world.

Evie – We went into a inside outside circle to get our partners and groups.

Alfie – We had to circle the Jungle that we were learning about on a big map.

Ruby – We had to draw a picture of animals that live in that Rainforest.

Mason – I was doing the Amazon and I drawed a Tiger.

Kiana – I was doing the Rainforest in Asia and I drawed a Lemur and a Elephant.

Aimee – We stuck the pictures down on the poster around the map.

 

Valentine’s Day β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ’›πŸ’š

Lexie – Valentine’s Day is all about love and there’s lots of love hearts and roses on Valentine’s Day.

Erland – You give people cards on Valentine’s Day. You might give a card to your Granny or your Mum to show you love them.

Cyrus – We made emoji love cards. Β We cut out they yellow love heart. Β Then we cut out red love heart eyes. Β Then we cut out the black mouth. Β Then we glued it all on. Β We writed a message on the back.

Jared – We made love bug cards. Β We cut out 3 love hearts and 1 circle for the face. Β We stuck them down. Β We drew legs and feelers and a smiley mouth. Β We stuck shiny love hearts on the end of the feelers and we sticked googly eyes on the face.

Cian – I made my card for my Mam and Dad because I love them and they do nice stuff for me.

Jenny – I made my card for Lexie because I love her and she is kind to me.

Rainforest Adventure – What we would take with us! Co-operative Learning with P2/3

Robbie – We had to line up tallest to littlest and then we had to meet someone from the other end of the line for our groups.

Cyrus – We were talking about the Rainforest and what we would take if we were going on a adventure.

Ruby – We had lots of little pictures and we spread them out on the table and we had to say what would be good to take.

Cian – We had to choose 4 things and draw them in the picture of a suitcase that we got. Β We had to think about what would be useful in the Rainforest.

Erland – I would take a pocket knife to hunt little animals.

Aimee – I would take a compass in case I get lost in the Rainforest.

Lexie – I would take a tent to sleep in at night time for shelter.

Alfie – I would take a water bottle so I wouldn’t get too thirsty and I would always have water to drink.

Dhilan – I would take matches so I could light a fire to keep warm.

Ollie – A Xbox wouldn’t be a good thing to take because there’s no electricity in the Rainforest.

Jenny – A nerf gun wouldn’t be a good thing to take because it’s just a toy.

Mason – I would take a sleeping bag because I can sleep in it and keep warm.

Evie – I would take a rope because I could make a trap.

Kiana – I wouldn’t take a teddy because it would get all wet and it’s not useful.
