Theodore the Rabbit visits P1/2! 🐰

Theodore is my bunny.  I got him in the holidays from a house in Tingwall.

He normally eats stuff like peppers, cucumbers, melon, carrots, broccoli and rabbit food.

He stays at the top on my passage at home in a pink cage.

We sometimes put him on a purple lead and he goes crazy with it on!  He likes to run up and down the passage like really fast!

He makes me rally happy because he is jumpy and he licks my hand to show he likes me.  Sometimes he bites me but it doesn’t hurt because he has tiny teeth.

Maths Measure – Area

Erland – Area is how much space there is. In school we have the cosy corner area, classroom areas, playground area, dining hall area. We put on counters over the polar bear’s foot and it took a long time and it was too big to count how many there was!  Because the area of the foot print was big and the counters area were small.

Ollie – We measured how much newspaper could fit on the table. 6 could.  We measured how much normal paper could fit on.  19 could. Because the newspaper was bigger than the normal paper.

Dhilan – I used cubes to see how many could fill the area of a bit of paper.  It too a long time because the cubes are small.  Then I did the polar bear footprint and it was 10 cards because the cards are big.

Potions, potions, potions galore!!!

We have been having so much fun pretending to be witches and wizards making weird and wonderful potions!

I put gloopy stuff in mine and 1 blue feather and red bubbly blood. The magic word was ‘hocus pocus’ when you stirred it. It made you turn invisible!

I put in it a feather and some pink water and a butterfly. You say ‘bibbity bobbity boo’ and the potion gives you wings.

My potion turns you into a zombie. I put bugs and teeth and eyeballs in it!

My potion is a invisibility potion. It has orange bubbles and bugs and a witch’s finger in it!

Capacity

We have been learning about Capacity in Maths.

Mason – Capacity is how much something can hold all the way to the top.

Lexie – We got tubs and filled them up with lentils. The yellow tub could hold 5 cups.

Jared – We filled up a jug. It could hold 5 cups of water.

Cian – We filled up a biscuit box. It could hold 18 full cups of water.
