Our first week back!
We have had a busy first week back!
Our topic is all about the Shetland Bus.
We chose The Minions as our class theme. We also made minion money pots ย and minion money to go with it. We earn it by making good choices ย and with demonstrating a positive attitude. These are our minion money pots.
In p.e we’ve being doing circuits with Miss Saunders. We are doing this to improve our levels of fitness throughout the term.
This week, we have been learning about growth mindsets. This is the idea that nobody is born ‘clever’ or ‘not clever’, instead we can all grow our brains and achieve anything. It is all about positive attitude, belief in ourselves and never giving up. Miss Saunders is encouraging us to never say “It’s impossible”, “it’s too hard”, “I’m never going to be as good as them” or “I can’t do it”.
We’ve had a great week…see you all next week. Have a great weekend!
Welcome to a new school year!
P6/7 and Miss Saunders would like to welcome you to our new class and updated blog. We are excited about our learning journey this year and will keep you updated.
The Football Tournament
On Wednesday the 22nd of June, the Tingwall Primary School football team went to the Clickimin to play in a football tournament against several different schools, who were very good. In my opinion we did very well against some of the hard teams like the Bells Braes B team and Whalsay.
In the final we faced Cunningsburgh for the shield. Freya took a corner. Ryan was at the back post and he was unmarked so he headed the ball and scored twice! Ryan overhead kicked the ball through to Freya and she volleyed it into the bottom corner! We were so excited to come back with the plate trophy!!!
