The Football Tournament

On Wednesday the 22nd of June, the Tingwall Primary School football team went to the Clickimin to play in a football tournament against several different schools, who were very good. In my opinion we did very well against some of the hard teams like the Bells Braes B team and Whalsay.

In the final we faced Cunningsburgh for the shield. Freya took a corner. Ryan was at the back post and he was unmarked so he headed the ball and scored twice! Ryan overhead kicked the ball through to Freya and she volleyed it into the bottom corner! We were so excited to come back with the plate trophy!!!

All the school said goodbye to the P7s and Miss Morrison showed a video of the P7s in Aberdeen. They looked like they had lots if fun! Miss Morrison also showed a video made by the P6 and Mrs Spofforth and they really liked it.

The audience loved it and were clapping very loudly!✈😄

🚴🏼Bike ability test🚴🏼

For 6 weeks we had Bikeability sessions with Sanna.

First of all she checked our bikes were safe to ride, then checked we could cycle properly and carefully.

When she say we were capable, we went out of the school grounds to the Strand houses and past Gaet A Gott.

On Wednesday the 15th of June all p6 had their bike test!

We practiced safe starts and safe stops and we went around cars. Then we did left and right signs and turns.

We all passed and got our certificates yesterday!
