Usain Bolt Acrostic Poem by Amy

Under pressure today, in five minutes the gun shot fires and the race begins

So popular with the crowd, shouting my name, ā€œGo Usain Bolt Go!ā€

Advantages matter in this race, against some incredibly talented athletes,

Insanely bad start, got to go as fast as a cheetah to win,

Noisy crowd, got to push myself further Iā€™ve got to find power and passion deep in my heart…

Beijing title NEEDS to be regained…

Olympic gold is mine, my reputation is still a WORLD RECORD BREAKER

Lightning Bolt lives on, doing my pose in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 Ā

Tense race, tens of thousands of people in the stadium and millions more watching from home saw me win gold at the London 2012 Olympics!

Usain Bolt Acrostic Poem by Rebecca

Unbelievable crowd, the noise is motivating, ā€œCome on Usain!ā€

Silver is not enough for me, I am hungry for the gold.

Adrenaline is pumping in my body; I hope I can make my family, friends and fans proud.

Imagining myself as a cheetah going at lightning speed!

Numbers on the big screen got to beat my amazing record from Beijing.

Believe I can do it, I WILL win the race!

Olympics spirit pounding in my heart!

Letā€™s go the race begins in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, gunshot…

Terrific race, thousands of people watch me win the 2012 London Olympics 100m!

SSPCA!!

On Monday the 9th of May Louise Sales from SSPCA came to visit Tingwall PrimaryĀ (Scottish SocietyĀ for theĀ Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) She told us about what she does for the SSPCA and showed usĀ videos of animas that they have saved and rehomed. If you’re cruel to your animals you can either get fined, sent to jail or get banned from owning animals for a year or for the restĀ  ofyour life.

The SSPCA is the only animal charity that cares for every type ofĀ animal in Scotland even wild animals like swans, ferrets, wild catsĀ and pets etc.

Eric was a 100m runner but he won gold in Paris 1924 for the 400m race.Ā  He was a missionary and went to China to tell people about God. Unfortunately he died in a concentration camp in 1942 when he was only 43 years old.Ā Ā Graeme also showed us some cool magic tricks!
