AHS P.E Transition Day

On Monday the 25th of April all the P7s went to the AHS for a P.E day.

We went to the Anderson so we could meet other P7s from all the different schools around Shetland.

We all gathered in the main hall and did 9 activities including: Air Track, Hurdles, Blindfolded Obstacle Course and the Hamster Roll activity.  Our favourite activity was the air track because it was really fun and you could bounce really high and do flips on it.

We are all looking forward to P.E lessons at the AHS 🙂

The Voar Redd Up

On Thursday the 28th of April p67 did the voar redd-up. The p6s went to  the Laxfirth junction and we found lots of stuff such as bottles, polystyrene, a car seat, cotton buds, spade and a plant pot.  We also found lots of wrappers and packets.

We filled 3 whole bags to the top.  Before we got back it started to rain on us but we got back without getting too wet.

Transition Day at Scalloway

On the 21st of April the primary 7s went to Scalloway for a transition day.

All the schools that were there was Scalloway, Whiteness and us. Hamnavoe were supposed to be there too but didn’t make it.

There was three  activities – they were ultimate frisbee, touch rugby and bonzai.  They were really fun and my favourite was ultimate frisbee!!!

It was great meeting other P7s from different schools and we will get to see them on Monday at the AHS!

I think it helps people focus on more of their ➕➗❌➖ work and it wakes people up and get off to a good start.  ☀🌟 It makes me feel more confident in my walking running and jogging. 😉 😄😁😆😋😎😜😇😏😝

I really enjoy the daily mile because I love going outside and taking Honey for a walk when I’m at home so it’s nice to be able to walk at school too. The daily mile  makes me really happy and I’m feeling really good about myself because of the extra exercise. 😁😉😄😎

The Daily Mile by Rebecca

I enjoy catching up with people from the other classes and it lets me concentrate more. First I was walking now I am running and I feel fitter. 😋😉😃

 

Daily Mile – Janey

The Daily Mile is fantastic I love it. It’s really good and it’s nice to get some fresh air and to be social with other classes . I feel much fitter and healthy now I’m doing a mile every day.
