We were very lucky to have Mr Rose come back to visit us again. This time he took the planetarium with him, we enjoyed learning about the stars and constellations. Most of the Primary 4/5s went in the morning and some of us had to go after break with the 6/7s as we are a big class and they don’t have as many in their class. It was great fun and a great way to end our space topic!

Science experiment with Mrs Spowart
We did a science experiment to do with friction. We had to move jelly from a bowl to a paper towel using chopsticks. It was really hard! Only some of us could do it, then we put oil on the jelly and that made it harder but we still enjoyed it. We learnt that if you have more grip on a surface then it doesn’t slip as much.
Science
We have been learning about friction with Mrs Spowart. We carried out an experiment, using our shoes, and discovered that the more friction there is, the more you need to pull to make something move. In this case, our shoes! We learnt that there are two types of friction. The friction between two things that aren’t moving is called ‘Static Friction’ and the friction between two moving objects is called ‘Dynamic Friction’.
