The Shetland Family Centre has moved premises to Burgh Road Lerwick. Their main remit is to provide support to families with children up to 12 years and there is a wealth of support for parents with pre-school bairns. it’s worth having a click on some of the links below to see what is available.

The Shetland Family Centre based in Burgh Road, Lerwick provides a wide range of services using a multi-agency approach.
Our aims are to provide family centred support by –
- Promoting early intervention
- Promoting play
- Supporting families in all aspects of parenting
- Working closely with other agencies and in partnership with parents
The Family Centre has a play room (with small outside space), meeting room and two smaller family rooms which provide an integrated service and can be booked by voluntary sector / groups and other services who are involved with the care and wellbeing of children.
