We’ve had a great day today for our graduation. We’ve had a party which included ice cream for snack! We’ve had a disco with lots of dancing and bubbles.

A Walk to the Trees
This morning we went for a walk up to the trees. We all had on our waterproof suits and boots. We walked through the long grass and up the hill. When we got to the top of the trees we had snack before walking back down. We saw lots on our walk including birds, sheep, lambs, feathers, burrows and plenty of trees!
Sea Creatures Visit the Nursery
On Monday we had a very special visit from some sea creatures. This included crabs, starfish, anemone, limpet, whelk and mussel shells. The children loved to see all the different creatures. 
Lunch & Snack in our Indoor/Outdoor Area
Since it was such a lovely sunny day today we decided to take our tables and chairs into our indoor/outdoor area and had lunch and snack in the sun.

We’ve had lots of fun outside today! Bubbles, chalk and games, we hope this weather lasts!
Family Support
The Shetland Family Centre has moved premises to Burgh Road Lerwick. Their main remit is to provide support to families with children up to 12 years and there is a wealth of support for parents with pre-school bairns. it’s worth having a click on some of the links below to see what is available.

The Shetland Family Centre based in Burgh Road, Lerwick provides a wide range of services using a multi-agency approach.
Our aims are to provide family centred support by –
- Promoting early intervention
- Promoting play
- Supporting families in all aspects of parenting
- Working closely with other agencies and in partnership with parents
The Family Centre has a play room (with small outside space), meeting room and two smaller family rooms which provide an integrated service and can be booked by voluntary sector / groups and other services who are involved with the care and wellbeing of children. A walk to see the cows!
Today we went for a walk to see the cows up the road. We tried to get them to speak to us, but they were too busy sunbathing! We talked about how important it was not to touch the electric fence too.
