Up Helly Aa is a big part of Shetland culture, it&#8217;s always on the last Tuesday of January.\u00a0\u00a0Fiddle Box Carriers are in charge of looking after the busses, getting people on the busses, and props for the squads. I have personally interviewed some Fiddle Box Carriers such as Stuart Nicolson, Ethan Lomax, Hayden Fenwick, Thomas Leask, Jacob Jamison, Harold Bray, and Lewis Farquhar.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I first asked them how they became a Fiddlebox Carrier (FBC). Stuart said he became a FBC in 2008 when his dad asked him to join. He was the only FBC for that squad. This is similar for everyone, Harold&#8217;s dad was in the squad, and Hayden and Lewis had family in their squad too.\u00a0\u00a0Jacob did it for the banter, and Thomas wanted to get involved with the squads.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The most challenging part for\u00a0Thomas and Stuart\u00a0is\u00a0making\u00a0sure that\u00a0squad members\u00a0don&#8217;t\u00a0get lost.\u00a0Harold, Hayden, Jacob,\u00a0and\u00a0Ethan all said that the\u00a0hardest part is\u00a0getting\u00a0everyone on the bus.\u00a0Lewis said the hardest part was staying up all night.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fiddlebox\u00a0Carriers work very hard all year round to help their squad.
