Tokyo Mew Mew

OK, I know Tokyo Mew Mew is in my recent books and my favourite books page, but I love it so much I put it in a post anyway! I mean, It’s a manga, an anime and a video game! Who can’t love something like that?! Anyway, I still recommend this. My favourite character is Zakuro Aishiwara and my favourite book is the last one. But this isn’t in the discussion topics category for no reason! What do you think about it? Do you have the video game? Have you watched any of the anime? What is your favourite bit? Who is your favourite character? I could ask more questions, but that’s for you to do in the comments. Bye bye!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Double Down

Hi Timo here and I am making a book review!

And I hope you enjoy!

At the start Greg was in the Champs, the Champs are working on their r words every Tuesday and Thursday but they were not focusing so Greg’s mom got him a privet teacher and he could say them but that meant that he didn’t need to be in the champ’s anymore so he faked to stay in but he let his guard down.

I’m not going to spoil the rest of the book so I’ll leave it there.

I enjoyed the book because It’s funny and very enjoyable.

That is the end of my book review!

goodbye!

Planning Your Stories

This post will be set into two parts: Plot and Main Character. You don’t have to read both, but it is advisable.
——————————————————————————————————————-
Plot
To write a gripping story that makes the reader want to know what happens next, it is advisable to know how it will end. Try to include lots of small, insignificant details that can be turned into a plot twist. For example, early on in the story the main character could pass a farm with 4 chickens in it. At the end the chickens could save your main character from falling to their death. To make it not so obvious what will be mentioned later, make sure it is not the only detail. For example, the main character could also pass a supermarket, a volcano and a church.
——————————————————————————————————————-
Main Character
Building on your main character’s background is also a good idea. If you give the reader a bit of information about the character and then, later on, another bit of information, the reader will have to string together those bits of information to uncover things they might not know about the main character. This also allows the reader to make theories about what will happen next. If the reader sees through the main character’s eyes during the story, however, you could sometimes make the main character see things that will make them remember something about their past.
You may want to have your main character meet others that can become main characters too. For example, they could save another’s life. The one whose life they have saved would pledge ever-standing gratitude and accompany them on their mission.
——————————————————————————————————————-
That is all I have to say now. I hope it helps you in some way. Feel free to tell me your way of planning a story in a comment. Goodbye!

Diaries and Why I Like Them!

Keeping a diary is great fun. Not only does it record your thoughts and feelings, but (for me at least) it makes you feel relaxed after a tiring day. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, picture this:
You have just had a long day at school. You are so tired you feel like lying down on the floor is as soft as feathers. You drag yourself into the living room and turn on your laptop. As it turns on you go to the kitchen to make yourself a hot chocolate. You spot your old diary on top of the microwave. As the kettle boils you flip through the pages. A lovely musty smell seems to emit from it. You grab your hot chocolate and go back into the sitting room, slumping onto the couch. You begin to write a new entry in your diary, pouring everything you did today into the pages.
Now do you see what I’m talking about? Or maybe I just made you want a hot chocolate. Either way, let’s get on with it. My favourite part about diaries is going back through the entries and reading what I did maybe months ago. It always makes me smile! (^^) And you don’t just have to write in them. Drawing pictures for your entries not only helps you remember whatever you’re writing about in that particular entry, it also is a fun way to record how your drawing develops over time.
Well, that’s all I have to say. Do you keep a diary? I would love to know who else shares what makes me smile. Anyway, bye bye! <3

Naming My New Story…?

Oh, hi! Mmm, what should I talk about…? Hey, I actually need your help! I’m writing a new story set in a fantasy land named Nuratara (I couldn’t think of a better name, OK?) and there is a scroll hidden somewhere around the kingdom that supposedly leads you to perfection. A mirror-obsessed girl goes looking for it, but you never know, some other characters might come into the story too… *evil laughter* Anyway, if you have a good idea that you think might work for the story leave it in a comment on this post and if I like it I’ll use it! Well, thanks for helping me with my problem! Oh, I almost forgot! If I choose your idea I’ll make a post about it including whose idea it was. Bye! 🙂

500 Word Challenge

My class took part in the 500 word challenge. We all had to write a story of any genre, setting and with any character in 500 words or under. My story was called The Food Potion of Sorcery (that I got wrong), Lewis’ 500 Go Karts, Dhanial’s Time Machines: The Whip Cream Cannon and Timothy’s The Terrible Chef Who Met Gordon Ramsey, all of them good! (I love your title, Timothy!)
