One of the new SIC gritters visited our school recently.

Each class had the opportunity to see the gritter up close and found out what the grit is made up of and how it is spread onto the roads.

All the pupils in the class have entered the competition to name one of the new gritters.

A big thank you to Elaine Skinley and one of the gritter drivers who gave up their time to visit the school.

The gritters perform a very important job during the winter months to help keep us safe on the roads.
