P5B Models

We were delighted to be invited to P5B to look at the models that the class had made. They looked amazing and we enjoyed finding out about all the 3D shapes that were used to make the models. Well Done P5B!

World Book Day

Primary 1 had so much fun on World Book Day; everyone was excited to see all the amazing costumes and it was great to see our P6 buddies again. We all shared a book with our buddies and even made our own books! Our displays in the canteen look brilliant and make everyone smile.

Fine Motor Activity

Every morning we take part in fine motor/literacy/numeracy activities. It is a great way to start the day and we can all comfortably get settled into class during that first 30 minutes.

Hama Beads are excellent for developing a good pincer grip and hand/eye co-ordination.

Wow! The small Hama Beads are very fiddly to use but what an amazing pattern has been produced here! Fantastic!

Term 3 Family Event

We enjoyed a successful Family Event at the end of January when we invited members of our family into school to watch us perform the Up-Helly-Aa song and then take part in a Viking Craft activity.

Family Events are lots of fun and a good chance to see us in our class and take part in activities with us. We really enjoy it when our family visit us at school!

End of term Buddy Time

We met with our P6 buddies quite a few times in term 2 and enjoyed lots of different activities.

We went on a shape walk when we had to find 2D shapes around the school.

Our buddies also read stories to us and even took part in some of our morning fine motor activities, which they really enjoyed!

During the last week of term P6 became our audience when we sang the Christmas song we’ve been learning with Mrs Jamieson to them. P6 even got to join in and had fun doing all the actions! After our performance we joined them in the Senior Wing for a social snack time.

We look forward to more Buddy Time next year.
