{"id":4827,"date":"2025-09-15T19:04:01","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T19:04:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sh\/soundnursery\/?p=4827"},"modified":"2025-09-15T19:04:01","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T19:04:01","slug":"rhyme-of-the-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sh\/soundnursery\/2025\/09\/15\/rhyme-of-the-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Rhyme of the Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Each week in nursery we explore a new rhyme.<\/p>\n<p>So far we have experienced the following rhymes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Row, Row, Row Your Boat<\/li>\n<li>Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star<\/li>\n<li>Humpty Dumpty<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This week our rhyme is <strong>Mary Had a Little Lamb<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"u3za3\"><i>Mary had a little lamb,<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s fleece was white as snow;<br \/>\nAnd everywhere that Mary went<br \/>\nThe lamb was sure to go.<\/i><\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"w0hmi\"><i>He followed her to school one day<br \/>\nWhich was against the rule;<br \/>\nIt made the children laugh and play,<br \/>\nTo see a lamb at school.<\/i><\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"iea0m\"><i>And so the teacher turned him out,<br \/>\nBut still he lingered near;<br \/>\nAnd waited patiently about<br \/>\nTill Mary did appear<\/i><\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"6cgcx\"><i>&#8220;What makes the lamb love Mary so?&#8221;<br \/>\nThe eager children cry;<br \/>\n&#8220;Why, Mary loves the lamb, you know,&#8221;<br \/>\nThe teacher did reply.<\/i><\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"6cgcx\">The whole rhyme is above, however we will probably just hear verses 1 and 2 in the nursery.
