ELC Shetland Guidance 2023-24

Parents and carers of children who already have a placement in a setting do not need to register again and their existing attendance pattern will continue. However, parents and carers should be given the opportunity to alter
their existing pattern as many families wish to increase hours for their pre-school year. If parents or carers wish to alter their pattern they should use the following link and complete the form: Change of Pattern Form 2023-24 – Self (shetland.gov.uk)

Forms to change attendance patterns should be completed by Friday 10 February2023. This will ensure that changes for children in their pre-school year are prioritised.

If you wish to defer your child starting P1 then please speak to Mrs Evans and see further information in the link below. Deferred entries should be submitted by 15th March 2023.

Hello everyone, just to let you know we will be having a raffle at our Christmas Concert with loads of super prizes, kindly donated from local businesses, and the nursery staff team.  The tickets are £2 a strip and they are available to purchase now, just ask a member of the nursery team.

We had lots of fun last week celebrating Children in Need. We had a special snack which we made and decorated ourselves while wearing our Pudsey hats which we designed ourselves. We had a disco in Nursery as well. Then just before lunch we had a special visitor come in for a visit. Very exciting day in Nursery.

We have been going in small groups to the Music Hut to do African drumming with Joy over the past few weeks. We loved drumming and dancing to the different rhythms.
