Our trip to Mareel to watch ‘Shorts for Wee Ones’ as part of Screenplay 2022 was a big success. We enjoyed the animated films and loved getting a trip out on a bus with P3A!

We discussed the United Nations Convention on the Rights of The Child (UNCRC) and chose rights which we wanted to focus on this year.
We have a right to learn.
We have a right to be listened to.
We have a right to be safe from harm.
We have a right to share what we know.
We have a right to drink healthy water and eat healthy food.
We have a right to make friends.
We have a right to play and rest.
You can see from the display all the things we discussed which link to those rights. We think Our Class Charter display looks excellent.
We have been lucky to get outside in the fine weather and enjoy time in the adventure playground and the wildlife area. We also enjoy doing the daily mile!
We read the book ‘Kindness is my Superpower’ by Alicia Ortego and discussed what it means to be kind. We made lovely rainbows to show this.
I am very much looking forward to teaching your child this session. Mrs Kathryn Robertson and Mrs Inga Nicolson are also in our class to support.
Across the school this term, we will be focusing on one of Sound Primary School’s values, which is Happiness.
