We have enjoyed Maths Week!<\/p>\n

Numeracy Ninja Workbooks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each day this week we worked on\u00a0 Numeracy Ninja Workbooks.\u00a0 This is a 30 question quiz on different numeracy skills.\u00a0 After each 30 questions pupils take their score and work out what colour of Ninja belt they are on.\u00a0 The class really enjoyed being challenged.<\/p>\n

ZK ” It is pushing me in maths and I’m learning how to do new sums.”<\/p>\n

RR “I only got 13, now I’ve got 18.\u00a0 I’m getting better at maths.”<\/p>\n

MC “It is getting my brain engaged and I’m on a hunt for a brown belt.”<\/p>\n

LA ” I like it a lot as it helps you improve.\u00a0 I think it is fun but it is a bit of a challenge!”<\/p>\n

Sumdog and Times Table Rockstars<\/strong><\/p>\n

We used our laptop time to engage in challenges in Sumdog and Times Table Rockstars.<\/p>\n

Maths Games<\/strong><\/p>\n

We had a carousel of games practising addition and multiplication skills.\u00a0 Eve and Mrs Burgess also taught us how to play yahtzee.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Animal Symmetry Pictures<\/strong><\/p>\n

We completed pictures of animals, practising skills in symmetry.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Teacher Led Gym<\/strong><\/p>\n

We played some maths related games in the gym.\u00a0 We played, “Whats the Time Mr Wof?”, Pacman (with tables practice) and Relays (with tables practice.)<\/p>\n

Maths with our Buddies<\/strong><\/p>\n

To round off the week we went down to Primary 2.\u00a0 Earlier in the week they had been outside collecting resources for maths games – stones and sticks.\u00a0 They had made their own games and they showed us how to play them.\u00a0 We were really impressed at how well they could talk about their games and the strategies they could use.<\/p>\n
