Today we took a wander down to the Sands of Sound.\u00a0 It was a bit blustery but we were wrapped up warm and ready for action!\u00a0 Our topic is Stories of the Sea and we visited the beach with three main aims related to our topic.<\/p>\n

Firstly we were gathering shells to use in a display for our Stories of the Sea Museum.<\/p>\n

Secondly we wanted to check for plastic pollution and do a safe and quick beach clean.<\/p>\n

Lastly we were going to be creative and make some beach art.<\/p>\n

“I liked cleaning the beach, helping to save the world!” BL<\/p>\n

“We worked in a group to make a stickman character.” MC<\/p>\n

“I learned how much plastic pollution was on the beach.” EJ<\/p>\n

“I learned that plastic pollution can be a real problem in the sea.” MS<\/p>\n

“I liked making a funny face with John.” LA<\/p>\n

During our time outdoors we used our collaborative meta skills working in pairs and groups.\u00a0 Pupils were being creative and developing their sense of curiosity.<\/p>\n
