Collaborating with Primary 7

Primary 7 have been learning a lot about plants.  They designed their own plant and drew a picture of their plant.

We got their written descriptions without seeing their drawings.  Our task was to draw their plant.  We started… then we realised we were were better to do a rough copy first.  Primary 7s descriptions were detailed and they were using specific language for parts of their plants.  We had to put a labelled diagram of a plant on he whiteboard so we knew exactly where to add certain parts! Then we met up with the Primary 7s and compared drawings.

It was a challenging activity and so much fun. The meta skills we were using were focusing, communicating, creativity and sense making.
