Cheryl Livesay presented a lesson on seed dispersal. She explained that seeds could be dispersed in different ways. Water, wind, animals and birds, gravity and plant explosions can spread seeds far and wide. We found out the coconut seed is one of the heaviest seeds. A poppy seed is one of the lightest seeds. One of the cleverest seeds is the dandelion seed as it can change it’s shape depending on the weather.
The class got wildflower seeds to plant in paper cups. We have set them on the window as that worked wonders for our sunflowers. Looking forward to seeing the results!
