A Massive ‘Thank You’

The Geek club wrote to some more companies to see if  they would support our little club. we were really excited when ‘The Army Painter’ said they were sending some paint and some brushes.

We wrote letters to say thank you and received a really lovely email today.

Thank you deeply for your kind letters! I was very touched by this. I loved learning what you each would like to paint.

XXXXX, we are kindred spirits. My favourite dinosaur is Spinosaurus, although with so many great species, it is difficult to choose. My 3-year old son loves Parasaurolophus.

I have ordered your club some Gamemaster paints as well. If you need anything in the future, do not hesitate to write.

Good luck with combining paints with gladiator fights! It sounds like a bold strategy 😉

A Big Thank You

Geek Club

We haven’t posted anything about the Geek Club for a while, but we certainly have been busy.

The following is the tray of miniatures to be varnished (we already took a lot home).

we have worked hard on colour mixing, layering, wet blending and dry brushing to achieve the masterpieces above.

this is what they started out looking like…

I am sure you will agree that there is a big difference!

You probably noticed that a lot of these are anthropomorphic. we really like this style. Next up are some very cute Koala’s and some gruff goats or whatever else we can persuade Mr. Renwick to print!

We want to say a big thank you to the parent council for giving us money to buy more exciting things for the club.

We are really looking forward to using Mr. Renwick’s machine for making our own tufts again.
