Parent Council

Parent Councils were set up to replace School Boards following an Act of Parliament called the Parental Involvement Act.   The underpinning thrust of the Parental Involvement Act is to actively promote the involvement of parents in their child’s education and welfare at home and in school.

The Parent Council will actively try to ensure that every parent is informed of what the Parent Council is doing, and will be encouraging parents to contact them with ideas, concerns, issues, basically anything parents believe the Parent Council can help with in anyway.
