We are looking at sound and vibrations with Harry Rose and this week we made our little men and ladies dance on the drum. It was fun!

This week the school got a new pupil. Bearamy Bear has come to join Primary 1-3 and we are making sure he is well looked after. We are using the SHANARRI indicators (Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible and Included) to show how we take care of him at school and at home with our families.
Primary 1 and 3 have been rumbled! It turns out that they need re-introducing to soap, to go with the water they (supposedly) wash their hands with!!
Watch this space, there’s a special bacteria identifying hand washing monster on its way! and it eats dirty hands!!!
Time for a demonstration.
Phew! Their hands are clean!
We did learn about mummification and how they rip your brain out through your nose and how they measured your heart against the ‘Feather of Truth’ and if it was full of sin then you were eaten by Ammit ( a lion, crocodile and hippopotamus type monster!). We wanted to practice mummification on our teacher but she said NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
So while 2 of our ladies and their teacher were away on the Edinburgh trip, we looked after at the rest of the biggies. We made them honorary Primary 2’s (because we don’t have any at the moment) and as we were wrapping up our Egyptian topic we did the only thing we really could with them…
… we turned them into mummies!
As part of our morning routine, the children do Go Noodle, lots of dancing, movement and songs and a whole lot of fun!
We have been looking at our emotions and how our facial expressions change with them.
Primary 3 have been working on directions and programming. They had so much fun programming the Bee Bots. Funny how the Bee Bots do as their told for primary 3!!
Primary 1 have been learning about some basic programming and directions with help from the Bee Bots. They programmed them to move along the road to visit the various shops and buildings on the street. However, some of them tried to escape and one even decided it wouldn’t travel down the road to get to the next building, it would just bulldoze its way through the walls!!
How to make a Cartouche.
First learn the Egyptian alphabet in order!!
Then draw out you hieroglyphics onto paper.
Finally wet them through with soggy tea bags and leave to dry.
Voila!
Authentic Cartouches
