Christmas Shape Poem

The presents underneath the tree,

Their happiness and their glee,

They will bring to you,

A Christmas wish that might come true.

While the decorations sparkle just like the sky,

The bright stars up so high,

Like the one on top of my tree,

Will sparkle like it has a personality,

Just like the tinsel on my tree.

Baubles scattered everywhere,

Like a crystal flashing on a branch.

As they twirl around so fast,

Santa comes with his sack.

The snow falling out of the sky,

So cold, just at the everlasting darkness of the night,

While the tree so terribly tall,

All the snow starts to fall,

The Christmas tree is so very prickly,

So pretty.

As round as a snowman,

As bright as fairy lights.

Shiny as ice,

It’s just a beautiful sight.

As blue as the sea,

As bright as a diamond.

Dancing with the lights,

It’s just a wonderful sight.

As glittery as sequins on a pencilcase.

As light as fairy dust.

As rare as red stone,

As the children argued who would place it on a tree.

As the family gathered around the tree

and started to sing Christmas carols,

As the light dances with me.

I am the bauble,

Come and put me on the glistening tree.

As I hung my fluffy stocking by the roaring fire,

I got excited to see what Santa himself would bring.

As the fire died down and I was getting tired,

I laid down the brandy, the carrot and the pie.

As I hoped my stocking would be full,

I crossed my fingers tight

I shouted good night.

As my stocking hung all day and night

I got a huge fright.

I heard Rudolph prancing his feet on the tile roof,

Dancing, prancing,

With his little foot.

As I woke up at the crack of dawn

I sprinted downstairs and you’ll never believe

What I received!

My little stocking was full!
