What do they do?
Michael Coutts visited our class to tell us about Dogs Against Drugs. We had fun trying on some of the outfits that Michael wears to do his job. He also took handcuffs and a baton in to show us. We found out that a dog’s sense of smell is 30x better than a humans. Labradors are ideal dogs to train for the job. Dogs Against Drugs keep us safe by trying to stop drugs coming into Shetland. They visit the post office, the airport, Northlink and freight centres.
Echo
We met Echo at the end of the session. She was a lovely friendly dog.
