Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying their day in the snow!

Below are some home learning ideas that P5/6 can do while at home with the weather. Do as much or as little as you please!

Literacy:

• Write your news – write about what you have all gotten up to on your day off, did you play in the snow?
• Spelling – practice any tricky words that you have found difficult to spell before. You could even try write some words in the snow! Use any spelling game or activity that you wish, more ideas for spelling games are on our class Team.
• Reading – read your AR book or any other book that you have. If you finish a book, do your AR quiz online or a book review from our class Team!

Numeracy:

• Practice a times table of your choice – activity ideas on our class Team.
• Log onto Sumdog and play some games: https://www.sumdog.com/user/sign_in

• Practice our Time topic – use a calendar and ask an adult to give you some calendar questions like we did last week. You could also practice telling the time using a digital or analogue clock in your home.

 

Topic:

• Research facts about the Tundra. You could look up some of the animals who live in the Tundra or the types of people who live there. You could write down your facts or make up a word document or powerpoint presentation! If you make anything online make sure to email it to me!
• Make a Tundra poster – add facts and pictures of the people and animals who live there. Remember to include what the Tundra looks and feels like.
• Draw pictures of a Tundra animal of your choice. Look up all the different kinds of animals you can choose from.

 

Health and Wellbeing:

• Get out in the snow and play if you can!
• Do a Joe Wicks work out on YouTube for some PE!
