Pupil Voice
We discussed the three pressing issues as a class this week; what will we do on our school trip, what will we have for our end of term treats? and what activities would we like to do as a class before the end of term.
We had a vote for the end of term treats. The kids will get a star each day for having fewer than 5 interruptions during direct teaching. Stars will bring them closer to the rewards that they voted for.
The kids came up with great ideas of things they would like to do and were very understanding about the things that it was not possible to commit to (gymnastics for health and safety reasons – I am not trained for supporting this safely).
We are still working out the plan for our class trip day but I think it will be lots of fun!
Writing
This week we finished our stories and focused on writing words, sentences, paragraphs and stories with purpose. I have been so impressed by everyone’s work!
