{"id":368,"date":"2024-02-10T10:24:54","date_gmt":"2024-02-10T10:24:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sh\/primary42023\/?p=368"},"modified":"2024-02-10T10:25:16","modified_gmt":"2024-02-10T10:25:16","slug":"368","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sh\/primary42023\/2024\/02\/10\/368\/","title":{"rendered":"Lunar New Year Rhythm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week in music we have been learning about note values as shown in the graphic below.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.cloudinary.com\/the-online-metronome\/image\/upload\/v1631114726\/theonlinemetronome\/note_tree_d3c336df29_dpvdkk.jpg\" alt=\"How To Read Rhytms In Music | The Online Metronome\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We practised clapping each note and vocalising the length using the words \u2018ta-a-a-a\u2019 for a 4 beat note (<em>whole note<\/em>), \u2018ta-a\u2019 for a 2 beat note (<em>half note)<\/em>, \u2018ta\u2019 for a 1 beat note (<em>quarter note<\/em>) and \u2018te-te\u2019 for a half beat note (<em>eighth note<\/em>).
