P4/5/6

P4/5/6 have all had a very busy start to the term!

This term our class topic is on Europe. We have already begun investigating some famous landmarks across Europe and making some lovely artwork for our display outside the classroom. The P6s will have the chance later in the year to take part in the Euro Quiz, which will test them on their knowledge of capital cities, flags and more!

We have also begun our topic on place value for maths and have been practicing our times tables. For literacy, we have started the National Writing Programme, which is new for P4 and P5! This means we will be aiming to do a piece of writing each day to improve our core writing skills.

What a busy first full week back! Well done P4/5/6 for their hard work.

Primary 6/7

Primary 6/7 have settled in nicely in their new class. The Primary 7 pupils are happy to be back together. We have had a busy start and we are sure that this will continue for the rest of the year.

We have already started our new topic which is WW2 and looking forward to finding out more. Miss Paterson will soon be sending a challenge home for the children.

Over the next couple of weeks we will be preparing our speeches to represent the school as House captains (P7) and JRSOs (P6).

The P7 pupils have started their Play Leader responsibilities and although it is a challenge they are enjoying it.
