On Thursday afternoon we invited family and friends to come along and enjoy our peerie P1 procession around the galley boat.
We were delighted to welcome some special guests (real Vikings!!) who showed us their fantastic suits and their shields and axes.
When we’d sung the ‘Up Helly Aa Song’ at full volume we invited our families in to help us make our own shields. We could make any design we wanted using a variety of craft resources.

We had live music from fiddles and an accordian. The musicians showed us their instruments in the classroom and we really enjoyed singing along with them.
