Welcome Back!

It is great to be back at school for term 2. It has been a busy day; settling back into old routines and learning new ones, meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. Today we have been sharing our news, writing, making pictures in art and enjoying a spooky themed play project!

Here are some photos of our play projects this afternoon.

We talked about the skills we had used and any learning that had taken place during our play project. This is a list of the skills the children thought they had developed today. I was really impressed with how the children talked about their learning and how they recognised how much had been achieved through play.

Autumn

We are learning about time and changing seasons throughout the year and it it now time to focus on autumn. The children have been looking for changes in their environment that show autumn is here and also having fun with the ‘treasure’ they collect.

We have done rubbings, painted leaves and made indoor and outdoor pictures using our treasure.

Shape

We have been learning about 2D and 3D shape. We had fun sorting out the 3D shapes and revising learnign on 2D shape. The P2’s were great role models for the P1 class and everyone had fun working together.

Digital Literacy

Primary One had their first visit to the computer suite last Thursday. It was great, we were learning about parts of the computer and how to use the mouse to click and drag as well as reinforcing our number skills!
