Primary 1\/2 have been very busy this term! Our topic this term has been ‘Our School’, where we have learned all about the various staff who help us throughout the day.<\/p>\n

In Numeracy, Primary 1 have explored numbers to 10 using a range of practical methods.\u00a0 Our favourite part has been hearing the Number Zoo stories that match each number.\u00a0 In Primary 2, we have been expanding our number knowledge and developing confidence when reading, writing and ordering numbers to 100.\u00a0 On Thursday to link our numeracy and topic, we went on a scavenger hunt through the school to spot some numbers.\u00a0 We managed to find plenty, and were able to discuss why some things in the building might need to be numbered.\u00a0 Here is a picture of our number hunt!<\/p>\n

For our practical maths, we have explored pattern.\u00a0 Both Primary 1 and 2 have continued and created various types of patterns and can recognise these in day-to-day school life.\u00a0 Below are some pictures of our pattern making.<\/p>\n

In Literacy, Primary 1 have learned some new sounds! We have enjoyed listening to the stories and songs for each of the sounds.\u00a0 We have linked the songs below!\u00a0Jolly Phonics Songs Group 1 – Learn Letter Sounds s, a, t, i, p, n for Kids in British English<\/a><\/p>\n

Primary 2 have also been learning new sounds, and have been practicing using these in our writing.\u00a0 We also have been developing our sentence writing skills, making sure to include capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.<\/p>\n

Finally, we have made a list of some of our favourite parts of this term.\u00a0 These are as follows;<\/p>\n
