What a fantastic time at the learner led event on Friday afternoon.  It was great to see all the students and parents (and siblings) getting stuck into maths challenges and activities for Maths Week Scotland.

P3 worked on collage using templates, drawing, collage and painting to complete their harvest display. They worked hard and managed all the different materials well.

This term, Primary Three have learnt some songs about the Egyptians and have been accompanying these songs on the tuned percussion instruments. They have also been learning about different note lengths and rhythms and have used this knowledge in their performing.

This week in topic we were learning to draw a short timeline and  locate two or more events in the correct order. We created a timeline as a class of Ancient Egypt and then all worked together to put it in the correct order. 

In Topic Choice this week we were building a machine that could freeze, melt or boil something or creating an experiment that could test this.

This week we have been learning about water boiling, melting and freezing and took part in an experiment to see what would melt ice the fastest.

In comprehension we were using our listening skills and our knowledge about what things look like, to draw Franky’s pencil case from the book “The Danger Gang”.

In topic so far this term we have been learning about Ancient Egypt.

On  Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, we get to spend time with the Primary 1/2 class and all play together.

After a wet playtime, our favourite thing to do is a ‘Just Dance’ to get our bodies moving.
