On Friday 25th November, Primary 1 pupils took in their favourite book to share with everyone during Show and Tell.
Maths and Numeracy
Today we have been counting to create lots of sequences and patterns in maths.
Type Onesie Day
On Friday everyone wore their onesie or pyjamas to school to help raise money for Type One Diabetes research.
There are 29,000 bairns living with type 1 diabetes in the UK and that includes someone in our school. So to raise awareness of World Diabetes Day (14th of November) we wore our onesies! We were supposed to do this last Friday but unfortunately the school was closed due to storm Abigail.
A huge well done to everyone at Tingwall Priamry School as we raised an amazing £372.37!
The event was a huge success and great fun was had by all.
Free Flow Play with Little Tykes
On Wednesday 11th November we had a free-flow play session with Little Tykes. We played in the Primary 1 classroom, outside and in Little Tykes. Here are some photos of what we were up to.
Number Show and Tell
After having so much fun on our number hunt at school, we decided to go home and look for things with numbers on them and bring something in for Show and Tell. Have a look at all the different things we brought in.
Numbers All Around
After the October holidays we went on a number hunt inside and outside to show that numbers are all around us. Have a look at our photos and see if you can tell where all the numbers are.

Free Flow Play with Tikes
We have planned a free flow session with Tikes every month. Our first session went really well. A chance to catch up with our adult and child friends. P1 said they have missed their friends. They wanted to show everyone their class and what they had been learning. Tikes loved coming through and playing in P1 and some of them didn’t want to go again!
