We are using Cybercoach in class this year as extra exercise time. We have been really good at following instructions.

Monday Maths and Literacy
Maths in free flow play today. Counting the right amount of frogs for the ponds. Trying to fit as much in a container as possible and counting the amount of spots rolled on a dice.
We have learnt a new sound today and have loved exploring it on the whiteboard.

Literacy and English in Action
We have really enjoyed choosing books to read by ourselves.
Lots of writing is happening through our play and taught sessions. Mark making, name writing, writing in note books and letter shapes.
Play dough is great for strengthening our finger muscles ready for writing.
Free Flow Literacy and Language
We have loved learning about sounds and exploring what we have learnt through play with marble run letters, Jolly Phonics big books, mini note books and the interactive whiteboard.
Outdoor Learning
Another day spent outside. We’ve created music, recognised some numbers, invented new way to climb and built a functioning water track.
Our New Jolly Phonics Work
We stared our day today learning all about the letter ‘s’. We sang a song and listened to a story. We wrote some letters on the board and then went outside to complete our snake ‘s’ sheets.
This Week so Far
We’ve built a house, made concrete and installed the waste pipes for the toilet.
We took our reading outside.
The ice cream van was serving us and charging a lot for each ice cream.
The skittles made great spaceships and space rockets.
The scales have been used to compare weights but also as see-saws.
Our First Day at School
We had an amazing first day at school.
