Primary 1 are learning all about ‘Measuring’ in Maths. They decided that we could use rice and pasta to see which holds the most/least. It was a bit messy but we had lots of fun!
We have loved learning outside this week with the nice weather. P1 experimented with lumps of ice to see how long they would take to melt, who could hold them the longest and what we could use to speed up the melting process. What a lot of fun!
P1 have started a new topic in maths learning about measurement. Their first task has been putting items (including themselves!) into order of height. This was trickier for them as they expected.
It was such a beautiful day today that we decide to go outside to design some Easter eggs using chalk. We came up with some fantastic ideas and enjoyed getting fresh air too!
Jan and Freya from P3 came into our class to show us how to use Sumdog (maths games online). They did a great job demonstrating the activities on the interactive whiteboard. Thanks again for helping us!
Elizabeth White came from Childsmile came to visit our class and make sure that we are brushing our teeth properly. She was really impressed with how well we are doing.
Primary 1 have started a new health and wellbeing topic called ‘Keeping Safe’. We have discussed all the professionals who help to keep us safe. We were very lucky to have a visit from a local Police Officer called Sergeant Peebles. He had lots of information to share with the class, demonstrated his police items and even let them hear the siren on the police van!
Aimee in our class was a viking princess for the Nesting and Girlsta Up Hella Aa. Their squad came to visit the school on Friday 5th February. She looked fantastic in her outfit!
