Today we had Christmas dinner at school and then we had a party! We had turkey and trimmings for the main course followed by ice cream, toffee sauce and sprinkles. Everyone got crackers too. We played lots of games in the hall in the afternoon. A great day was had by all.

Sense of Taste
We have been exploring our 5 senses as part of our topic this term. Today we explored our sense of taste. We used our sense of sight to look at the outside and inside of different fruits, we used our sense of smell to smell the fruits and finally, we tasted the different fruits. We had to used lots of descriptive words to say how the fruits looked, smelled and tasted. Can you guess the fruits we tasted from our photos?
Amazing Eight
The number 8 is a tricky number to write. Today we read a story about Amazing Eight and then we did lots of different activities to help us to write the number 8. We used our fingers to draw number 8 in sand and in shaving foam. We practiced using whiteboards and pens and also on practiced on giant bits of paper. Levi drew a number 8 on his whiteboard and turned it into a dinosaur with 8 spikes and 8 spots!
Free Flow Play with Little Tykes
This morning we had a freeflow play session with Little Tykes.
Show and Tell
On Friday 11th Decemeber we brought in our favourite toys which we have received in the past as Christmas presents. We talked about the toys and then we played with them.
Playvan
Today the Playvan came to visit us! We joined with Little Tykes for the first bit then we had the hall to ourselves.
After our visit to the Playvan, we wrote about what we liked playing with.
Christmas Concert
For this years Christmas Concert, Primary 1-7 performed ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ musical on Thursday 10th December.
