Today was moving up day! The new Primary 1/2 class have had a great time playing with each other, reading books, buying tuck and having lunch in the canteen!

Sunflowers
Look how tall Fraser and Levi’s sunflowers have grown!

Houses in the Community
Last week we went for a walk around our local community.
We were looking at all the different types of houses and we were thinking about the different materials which are needed to build them.

Orienteering
In class PE today we were practising our orienteering skills.
In our teams we had to read a map of a face and create the face using objects which were in the key. We did it as a relay race.
We had to work as a team and communicate with each other.

Puppet Workshop
Today Primary 1 went to the puppet workshop with David. Everyone loved it, especially the naughty puppet called Gus!
Primary 2 enjoyed the workshop with Primary 3 and 4 and had fun with their new class for next year.
At the end, everyone came together for a show.
Thank you so much David for coming to Hamnavoe Primary School. Everyone has had a fantastic day!

Position and Movement
In maths today we had lots of different activities going on to do with position and movement. Some groups got to use the Beebot to practise their control skills and problem solving skills. We will be using the Beetbot lots this term. Other groups got to play the Beebot game on the ipads.

Rugby
Today some people from Active Schools came to show us some rugby skills. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the different activities.
