Everyone in Primary 1 have made a fantastic start to Jolly Phonics. On Monday and Tuesday they were learning all about the letter ‘s’. Today we have been practising forming the letter ‘s’.

Our PE teacher Mr McNiven retired before the holidays. We wish him all the very best.
We are looking forward to meeting our new PE teacher Mr Kirkness.

On the last day of term we said ‘goodbye and good luck’ to the three Primary 7 pupils who will be going onto their next adventure at the Anderson High School after the summer.
We also said ‘goodbye and good luck’ to Mrs Leask and Mr MacMaolain who are also leaving Hamnavoe Primary School to embark on their next adventure.
Here are some photos of the leavers assembly.

We had a competition to see who could build the strongest house. Our house had to have a door, a window and a roof. We could choose from lots of different materials. When everyone was finished, we used hairdryers to see if the houses would blow down. It was a bit like The Three Little Pigs story.
