Today when the playgroup were visiting we made a big marble run and we kept changing it all the time. It looked very cool but it kept breaking! We called ‘The Biggest Marvel Run in the City!’

Reading in the Morning

Listening Centre
This morning before school started I listened to the story at the listening centre. It was about a jungle and lots of animals who were being noisy. The lion said “quiet!”

Playgroup Visit
This morning the children who will be coming to school after the summer came for a visit. We had fun playing. I liked playing with the numbers and showing the playgroup children what to do.

Dinosaur Show and Tell
This week we had Dinosaur Show and Tell. Everyone brought in something dinosaur. Some people brought in pictures of dinosaurs, some people brought in little figures, toys, books, playstation games, pens, torches, dinosaur small world sets and games.

Frogs in the Pond
Today we all went out to look in the pond. There were over 20 frogs in the pond! They were mating and making lots of noise. There’s a lot more frog spawn in the pond now too!

The Reading Group
Today some of us found some Dinosaur books which were the same. We decided to make a reading group and read the books together. I liked reading the books. I liked pretending to be the teacher. It was just really fun reading together.

Dinosaurs with Andy Ross
This afternoon the class began their Dinosaur topic with Andy Ross. Together, we are going to write our own story for a play and make up lyrics to songs and poems.
Today we played some games, looked at real fossils and we began writing the story board to get ideas for our play.
